The song Jai Jai Naam is a praise and worship song to praise the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Indians worship many different gods and goddesses.
The above video was shot at the river Ganges in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh where everyday, thousands of devotees make their pilgrimage participating in many customs and religious sacrifices believing that one dip in the holy river could wipe off their sin and bring them closer to God.
The Holy Bible echoes this human condition and explains how it is impossible to get rid of our sins through any external cleansing and therefore God made a way:
“God made him who knew no sin to become sin for us so that in Him, we might become the righteousness of God” 1st Corinthians 5:21
By Jesus’ bodily entry into the world, His sinless life, death, burial and resurrection, He purchased once and for all, an eternal salvation for all those who call upon His Name.
The Bible goes on to say that because of this great sacrifice, that Jesus’ Name is Most Holy and the Name above all Names (Philippians 2)
The words of this song beautifully express deep and continual devotion to Jesus through echoes of various passages of scripture such as John 15, Matthew 11:19, Proverbs 16:3 and others.
